Dana Point Harbor Annual Water Wars

Dana Point Water Wars is an annual event held in the beautiful Dana Point Harbor every 4th July. Participants head out in the main channel in boats ranging from small inflatables to 20+ foot fishing boats. While there is no official start time, minor skirmishes can be seen throughout the day, while the epic-scale battle happens around noon. Participants can be seen of all ages, but anybody on the water is a fair target. See You There!
The three rules enforced by harbor patrol during the battle our. One no water balloons. These plastic/ Rubber balloons pollute the water and kill fish. Two speed limit. While a quick burst of speed most likely wont give you a ticket, you have to be in control at all times due to the mass amounts of people. Three, you must have enough life jackets in your boat for all the people, even adults, and if your under 13 you must be wearing it. Sorry it’s the law no way around it. So following those three easy rules you can stay safe and have fun.
