Dana Point Women’s Club October Meeting
October 3 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and our luncheon will be focused on supporting those impacted by this disease. Our featured speaker is Susan Svobada, author of “I Hate the Color Pink” who will share an honest, humorous and hopeful story of her journey through breast cancer. Susan is happy to autograph your books, which may be purchased on Amazon or at the meeting. As always, we’ll allow plenty of social time with new and old friends. Please choose one of 4 meal choices at registration which will close at midnight on September 30th to allow us to place your catering orders.
Our efforts this month are dedicated to Metastic Cancer Research in honor of our dear member, Leann Rodowicz, who is beginning chemotherapy treatment this month. Members are encouraged to donate to Metastatic Cancer Research by making a donation at our website HERE. Please note “Walk for Leann” in the field for donation purpose. DPWC will match your fully tax deductible donations up to $3,000 and the combined amount will be donated to Susan G. Komen Foundation and specifically directed to Metastic Cancer Research.
Our First Vice President, Judy Amiano, will be walking for Leann during the entire 60-mile, 3-day Susan G. Komen “More Than Pink”walk in San Diego on November 1 – 3. Please see link below.
